Room V Jalan Megat by Secom

It's a clean, wonderful hotel with comprehensive services. I highly recommend it.

The toilet was clean and the hot water worked, though the door wouldn’t lock. The room itself was comfortable and tidy, with working air conditioning and TV. They left bottled water and coffee and sugar sachets, but there was no kettle; a water dispenser is on the ground floor, and an iron is kept near the elevator. It was my first time in Batu Pahat and I stayed one night. The view outside felt a little unsettling because there’s an abandoned building nearby, and buses often park there at night since the hotel is close to the bus station.

The room was clean, but small and dark. It had an electric kettle, though no coffee or tea, and both the Wi-Fi and hot water worked well. The bus station is about a seven-minute walk away. Coming back late was uncomfortable for us since we don’t drive: the route to the hotel is dark and quiet, and dogs nearby sometimes bark as you pass.

I’ve stayed at three Room V branches, and the modern, minimal look is what I’ve really come to love. Everything has been top-notch for a very reasonable price. If you’re looking for a room in Batu Pahat, Room V is a good place to stay.
