The Sky lounge was a highlight, with a great karaoke setup and superb surround sound. Iqbal gave good service there, and the food was delicious. The resort was clean and lovely, with new rooms, a very cold air conditioner, a sauna, jacuzzi, and private pool. The Musang King durian was cheap too. Thumbs up!
We found plenty to do for a nature escape, especially horse riding and the petting farm where you can hug a raccoon. The animals and plants seemed very well looked after. The staff were welcoming, quick to respond, and helpful throughout our 2 days and 1 night at the Sky Pavilion. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with an amazing view over the hills. Breakfast had a good range of Western and local choices, and both were really tasty. I’d definitely come back for another nature retreat! 🌱
The restaurant has lovely views, and getting around by buggy is very convenient. Staff were friendly enough and helpful. The place is nicely landscaped on a hill, though it isn’t high enough to expect particularly cool weather. Rooms are basic, so don’t expect much, but the bathrooms were clean.
Breakfast was a real treat, especially the nasi lemak, sambal, and crunchy anchovies, with plenty of fresh, tasty choices. The staff were the standout for us: everyone from Reception and the Buggy person to the sport staff and karaoke person handling our room was polite, warm, and ready to help with a smile. We stayed in J07 AND J01. Both rooms were roomy, spotless, and comfortable, overlooking the Durian farm. The surroundings made it easy to relax. It was a wonderful stay, and we’d love to return.
The service was very good. The staff were patient, willing to help, and handled more than just their own departments. The surroundings were lovely for fresh air and time in nature. Breakfast and lunch were average, as was the steamboat dinner, but the barbecue dinner was superb. The access road was acceptable, even though it wasn’t fully paved. We had nine people for 3d2n at Bilut. The Balinese villa was fine for the first night, but the Glass Challet was a poor fit for night two. Its three rooms weren’t connected: one was upstairs and two downstairs, with no private washroom. The shared washroom was across the road, and the downstairs route was risky, next to a cliff, poorly lit, and overgrown with plants. The rooms hadn’t been cleaned at check-in. There was lizard droppings on the window panel and dark marks on a wall. The public toilet was dirty and had no replenished toilet paper. We had to complain before staff cleaned the rooms and washroom and cut back the plants. There was only one power adapter, on the floor in the top room, which was hard for a senior to reach. There was a small cabinet but no kettle or spoon, and no proper chairs. We could only sit on the beds, apart from one tiny stool meant for kids. Bilut needs to do better with room upkeep and cleanliness.
