The room was spacious and affordable, and Boulevard Shopping mall is within walking distance. A hair dryer was available when I asked for one. We booked two nights, but the room wasn't cleaned on the second day. There was also a cockroach in the toilet, and the walls didn't block enough sound, so we could hear activity in the room next door.

If you're after basic, cheap accommodation because you'll be out most of the time, this worked perfectly well for me and the way I travel. I got it very cheaply on Agoda. The beds were firm but comfortable, and there was AC. It's an old, very basic place, so if you want more than the essentials, look elsewhere. The shower only had cold water, though in Malaysia it felt like about 21C to me. Its head is fixed to the wall, not on a hose. Some rooms have no windows; they're called "middle rooms" because they're inside the structure. That's stated in the room description, so check before booking. There's a good place to eat downstairs and other food spots nearby. My room had a fridge, and there's a shared room with a stove. I didn't use it, so I don't know whether you can get utensils there or need to bring your own.

It's an older hotel that's been renovated, and it has a lift. There's also an iron in every room. A good place, and I'll give it another try.
