The Velton Inn

The queen room was clean and spacious, and the toilet was fine with working hot water. There was no kettle or water heater in the room, though. Guests have to go downstairs to refill water, which is inconvenient if you’re travelling with kids.

Decent place and good value, with a convenient location for tourists visiting Bintulu. It’s quite close to tamu, river front, and pasar malam, but farther from Kidurong, Parkcity, and Medan. There aren’t many shops or other establishments around. Probably better for tourists than work groups.

I stayed two nights in a single room with a window. It was big and clean, not brand new but still fairly new. The water pressure was strong, which made showering pleasant. The location was good and quiet at night, with lots of free parking around. I’ll definitely come back.

The room smelled nice and was very clean, with some basic bathroom supplies, strong air conditioning, 3in1 coffee, a water heater, and plenty of sockets. The staff were friendly, service was good, and there’s a lift for when you don’t feel like taking the stairs. In room 305, someone had drawn on the wall with a pen or pencil. Maybe staff could clean that up. Parking was okay, though during the day you need to put out the parking ticket.
