Birdsong made the morning walks especially nice, and the greenery was a welcome break from everyday stress. It’s peaceful enough to sit and enjoy the scenery, with cool, foggy weather that feels refreshing. Selesa Hill Home is about 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, and restaurants and cafes are conveniently close. A lovely spot for a short getaway from the city.

The little Chinese town was my favorite part since I could get the Chinese food I wanted. The rooms are quite old, but I have no complaints about the value. Just be careful if you’re bringing an infant or baby. There are lots of insects, and the mosquito and insect spray didn’t help.

I really like this quiet area, and the prices are reasonable. The rooms can vary a lot, from good to terrible, so choose carefully. You can book through AirbNb, Agoda, or Booking.

I’d give this zero stars if I could. The guard outside was rude, and the reception person wasn’t helpful. They said that if you booked through Agoda, you’d have to contact Agoda or the owner yourself. The walk to the rooms felt like going down to a dirty underground basement. My room was musty and dirty, with dirt and moss all over the sink and tap. The toilet water ran so slowly I couldn’t take a proper shower. There was hair on the bed and pillows, and the towels smelled moldy. There were also lots of bats and bird nests on the way down to the unit. I have videos of them.

Location: Selesa hillhomes bukit tinggi, Unit T4L1A. The check-in was quick, parking was easy with lots of spaces, and the location was convenient to reach, about a 5-minute drive from nearby restaurants. The common area in our tower was quite clean, even though the property overall looked abandoned. The unit itself was dusty and dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned or occupied for a long time. The beds smelled bad and were dirty. My travel partner got skin rashes, possibly from bed bugs. Most kitchen appliances couldn’t be used, the rice cooker was rusty, and some mugs were cracked. The fridge and TV worked, but the Wi-Fi only worked for one night. We couldn’t connect the next morning, and the host never replied. The air-conditioner wasn’t very cold, though there was a fan. There were lots of bees and bugs at night, so we couldn’t open the balcony door for fresh air. The place needs a thorough cleaning and a lot of improvement. It wasn’t worth what we paid. When we first walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell, so bring air freshener if you decide to stay.
