Syaz Meridien Hotel

The rates are very affordable, and there’s plenty of parking around. The hotel provides parking tickets that work anywhere in the city, which made things convenient for us. Our room was spacious and clean, with hot showers, clean towels, and 3in1 shower gel and shampoo. The staff were polite and helpful. It’s away from the noisy tourist area but still close to attractions and shopping centres. The riverside is about a 12-minute walk, and Jonker's Walk is around a 13-minute drive.

A good budget option if, like me, you’ll be out most of the day. It’s basic but clean, the beds are restful, and the room was quiet. One odd little thing, the kettle cord was too short to reach the socket 😁. Good value for a budget-conscious traveller.

Cheap rates, and the location is handy, near the city centre and about a 10-minute walk from Jankar street. There’s parking in front of the hotel. I visited in peak season, so it was packed. The room wasn’t very clean, and I felt the bedsheets hadn’t been washed properly, which made me uncomfortable. The room and bathroom need better cleaning, especially the bed, pillow, and blankets.

The toilet was clean, and the hot water and pressure were good, but the space was very small. The rest of the room was dirty, including the mattress and linens, which seemed to be used again without washing. It smelled, and there were bed bugs. I was itchy and could hardly sleep because they kept biting me.
