At midday, when it felt like 40°, I had a delicious light roast cappuccino on a colonial street lined with plants and covered in temples. The cafe has all kinds of art on the walls and lo-fi jazz playing, and its coffee costs much less than the tourist-priced places nearby. As someone who journals a lot and likes to travel at a relaxed pace, it was exactly my kind of place. The hostel is amazing too, but that's listed separately on Google Maps.

Sam was lovely and helpful throughout. He even let me stay past checkout so I could get out of the heat and take a shower. One of the best hostels I've stayed in over the past four months. It isn't social, but it's comfortable and spacious.

I really enjoyed my stay at this great hostel. The location was convenient for the market street, restaurants, boat pier and other attractions in the district. The interiors were very nice, and the rooms, beds and bathrooms were clean. Towels were changed daily. There were international sockets, and the owner was very nice and helpful.

We dropped off our laundry at 17:55, knowing they closed at 18:00, and found the place already shut. The lovely man was still happy to take it. When we picked it up the next day, it was clean and smelled good. Thank you!
