Olive Flashpackers - Hostel

Had a good one-night stay. The room was tidy and clean, and there were complimentary drinks you could make yourself. The host was friendly, though not always available when I tried to get in touch. I’d suggest having another person in charge.

The bed was comfortable enough, and the toilets, showers and common areas were all fine. The location was okay too, but finding the place was a pain: there was no sign, just the number 76 above the door. I walked up and down for more than 10 minutes until a girl staying at the hostel pointed it out. The receptionist didn't seem friendly, either. They asked how I'd got in instead of greeting me. Some beds had no power outlet, and some outlets didn't work. There were no individual bed lights, so you had to fumble in the dark or turn on the main light and disturb everyone. I left for somewhere else after one night.

It's in a quiet bit of town near Little India, and the hostel is clean, practical and really comfortable. There's a mamak stall just a few steps away that serves food late. Jonker Street is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk, with a few local shops along the way.

The dorm was spacious and tidy, the staff were helpful, and the bathroom was so big you could jump and dance in it 😁. Good value for the money. I'd suggest putting up a bigger Olive Flashpacker sign and checking the plumbing more often. Thanks!
