Langit-Langi Hotel @ KLIA/KLIA2

The building was difficult to find on my first visit because there’s no hotel name displayed outside. If you know the area, that may not be a problem. Late arrivals should also know the grill is shut at midnight, so it’s not a good choice if you often get back after 11 pm. There’s no lift either, which makes it unsuitable for older guests or wheelchair users. I waited over 30 minutes to check in because nobody was at the counter, even though I’d noted my late arrival when booking. My booked room wasn’t available, but the staff member gave me an upgraded one. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which I really hate, and there were no towels until I asked the receptionist for them. A mug and 3-in-1 drink were there, but no spoon or water heater. Mosquitoes were biting me in the room.

I didn’t feel safe here and checked out right away, leaving the RM150++ I’d paid for one night. I really don’t think this should be called a hotel. It’s above old, dirty shoplots. At night, I was told my room was in a different building, a five-minute walk away. There was no clear sign at the other shoplot, the stairs were completely dark, and the corridor was dim and rundown. It looked as though we were the only guests. The place seemed poorly renovated from a bangala hostel. There was a shared toilet outside the rooms, the door had four locks, and my room looked makeshift and worn. The mini bathtub never filled high enough to use, and the ventilation was as loud as a vacuum cleaner.

The hotel’s name doesn’t really fit the place, and it feels too rural for a first-time visitor. It smelled bad, with a very strong cigarette odor. There’s no wheelchair access. If you’re checking in late, I wouldn’t recommend it, since they shut the grill and lock the door.

I booked their largest room, the Rm188 superior family room with two queen beds, and was disappointed. It was at a different location. One bed was too soft, the sink faucet leaked, and the curtain didn’t quite cover the clear glass wall between the room and the bathroom. The toilet door wouldn’t lock and left a gap. If you have to stay here, I’d choose the basic room. There are better hotels nearby for the same price.
