A kind, patient counter staff member, who seemed to be Nepalese, was the best part of the arrival. His English was excellent, and he took time to show us a map and explain where to go. The room itself was acceptable, with a working water heater and good water pressure, though the mattress had a slight damp smell, possibly from humidity. Finding the room was another matter. We hadn't expected so many separate towers, and at around 1 a.m. the area was nearly empty, which made the confusion uncomfortable. The guard meant Tower 7 but directed us to Level 7, sending us up to rooftop parking. After we went back down, the lifts had no clear labels, MagTree signs, or direction boards. We accidentally took a staff-only lift, then another staff member misdirected us and we got stuck on a floor without ground-floor access. The place feels more like an Airbnb-style residence than a regular hotel. With so little signage or branding, first-time guests can easily get lost. Management should improve the signs and guest directions, especially for late-night check-ins.

Magtree was a peaceful place to recharge amid busy Genting, good for a chat or a quiet break. The cosy interior and warm ambience made it a pleasant stop, whether for a quick visit or a longer rest. Drinks and desserts were fresh, tasty, and nicely presented, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We'd happily visit again, and recommend Magtree for refreshments and a relaxed atmosphere.

Avoid this place, no matter how cheap it is. We stayed Oct 11- Oct12 in Tower 7, where just one of the four lifts was working. People waited 30 to 45 minutes to reach their rooms, and we had to carry our bags up 12 floors. We couldn't find any lift maintenance staff. Getting around the parking area was awful too. It felt like a badly built maze, confusing everyone. Management deserves to be sacked. This is more like an Airbnb than a hotel, and there's no service.

We stayed in the one-bedroom suite king, room 1411 in Tower 2. The corner room's view was partly blocked by trees. Maintenance wasn't good, and it was my first and last stay here. The TV channels didn't work, and it couldn't connect to Bluetooth or screen share. Only a few movie channels worked.

The tea was the last straw during a stay that felt more like living in a poor environment than staying in a hotel. I don't have especially high standards, but this place still managed to disappoint, and I’d give it zero stars if I could. Each cup came with just one packet of creamer and one of sugar, and both tasted cheap. The tea was bland, basically hot water. When we asked for more creamer, we were told it would cost extra. Charging for such a basic part of the in-room tea service felt outrageous, especially when the product was already so low quality. Even rundown hotels I've stayed in have provided it without a fuss.
