The noise was the biggest problem for us. It's right on the main nightlife street, with loud music from at least two places going until 4:30 or 5 in the morning, even on a weekday. Maybe that suits people who plan to stay out until 7am, but it was no good for sleeping. The place is just three rooms above a 24-hour market, not really a hostel or guesthouse. When we arrived, we had to wait to check in because someone was praying in the room. It wasn't very clean, and the air conditioning is shared between two rooms. We explained the issue and left after one night, but they still kept the payment for an extra night. Avoid!

The no-refund policy applies even to nights paid for in advance. Sleeping was also impossible unless you were sure you'd be back after 4am, since there's a bar directly downstairs with very loud music. The 'lobby' is a 24-hour grocery shop, and the cashier handles the hostel, but he isn't the main manager and didn't seem to know how anything worked. I'm used to cheap, dirty hostels, but this was the worst I've stayed in.

Ask for a room other than the first one. The late-night pubs on the street make that room noisy; we had the second room and it worked perfectly for us. It's great value for backpackers, with clean, comfortable rooms, fast WiFi, and a shared bathroom and toilet that were spotless. Fresh towels and toiletries were provided. The location is on Georgetown's busiest street, and Love Lane, where you can easily rent a bike, is only 20 seconds away. There's a 24-hour mart downstairs, and hot water is always available for instant noodles or coffee.
