Armenian Street Heritage Hotel

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well cared for, and the reception team were welcoming, professional, and quick to help. I also found the facilities complete and well organized, which made everything comfortable. The location was handy for getting to key places and attractions. I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the hotel and return.

The rooms have plenty of space, with a fridge, coffee and tea, and a kettle for hot water. Since the area gets a lot of traffic, I’d ask for a higher-floor room. My first room, 715, had an air-conditioning problem, so I requested a move and was given a room on the sixth floor. The front desk staff were very nice, and they kept my luggage while I had an appointment that lasted all day after checkout. The location is great, and it seems the hotel must have been quite something in its heyday. Good value for what you get.

It was very quiet here from about 7:30 pm until 8 in the morning, so the stay felt peaceful. The hotel is just behind Penang’s iconic spots, including the street art, camera museum, and umbrella alley. Komtar is nearby too, making it easy to reach shops, bus services, entertainment, and places to eat. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the staff were gentle and professional with guests. A decent choice for a family stay.

The food was decent, though I think it could be improved to fit the rest of the experience. We found the staff helpful and friendly throughout our visit, and the hotel has a cozy, welcoming heritage feel. Its location in the middle of the city made it easy to walk to cafes, heritage streets, and the main attractions. We had a very pleasant stay at the Armenian Heritage Hotel in Penang and would gladly come back.
