Campbell House

Those afternoon extras were a treat, with a home-baked sweet brought to our room each day. Since we had to leave very early, the staff kindly packed a tasty breakfast for us to take along. They were also super friendly and helpful throughout. The room was gorgeous, and the heritage hotel is conveniently placed for a short walk to the 'old town' sights in Georgetown. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend Campbell House.

The bags get hauled upstairs by rope, a quirky touch. The staff were genuinely lovely and very friendly, and the breakfast and room were both great. We spent three nights here and loved the location. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Our loft was a well-kept room with a heritage feel, and the staff’s warmth and afternoon treats made our four nights at Campbell House especially nice. There’s no lift, just stairs, but the team can bring luggage up using a pulley. We liked Il barcaro so much that we had dinner there two nights in a row, delicious, authentic Italian food. Local food is close by too: Chowrasta market is a three-minute walk for char kuay teow, and Cintra street fish & chicken porridge serves local congee. We’d love to stay here on our next visit.

We booked the Opium room for our anniversary. It was beautifully furnished and restored, and although it was close to the stairs, we barely heard anything. The location is superb, with lots of eateries, including famous ones, and attractions within walking distance. The staff gave attentive service and wonderful hospitality throughout. A special shout out to them.
