Citadines Connect Cecil Georgetown Penang

The main nuisance was the doors. They slam loudly when shut, and with the thin walls we could hear neighbours returning to their rooms at night. Still, we'd gladly stay again. It's a modern, clean and new hotel, and one of our more enjoyable stays, especially for the elderly relatives with us. Our connecting rooms were arranged as one double and one twin. We arrived at 10 in the morning after being denied early check-in under the hotel's policy; we were told we couldn't check in until 11:30 to noon. They did give us a welcome drink, which we later learned was complimentary throughout the stay. A water dispenser on each floor made it easy to refill instead of buying bottles, and the air conditioning stayed cool enough at 22 degrees despite 30-degree heat outside.

Legha and Ainaa deserve a special mention. They were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and made us feel looked after with a personal touch. Our room at Citadines Connect Cecil Georgetown Penang was clean, comfortable and well maintained, while the excellent location made exploring Georgetown easy. We had a lovely stay, appreciated the team's hospitality, and would consider coming back.

My favorite part was the indoor pool. I spent time there doing laps every day I wasn't out exploring and eating. The hotel is in a handy spot, right around the corner from the famous food stalls at Cecil Street market and a short walk from the hip Hin Bus Depot. My room was nice and clean, and I was glad the sheets and linen were crisp and comfortable. The front desk team were warm and friendly, and the service was good.

Really worth it and I'd definitely recommend it. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and rooms, plus a 24-hour pool and gym. There's free-flowing drinks and coffee in the lobby, and water dispensers on every floor. It's right in central Georgetown, close to places like Hin bus depot and deen maju.
