The owners were lovely, friendly people who really know how to run a hostel. The place was super clean, and the location is fantastic, close to everything to do in George Town. We also found one of the cheapest alcohol shops in SE Asia nearby :P. One of the best hostels we’ve stayed in for a long time. Book it without regrets! :)
The staff made the stay especially nice. They’re easygoing, lovely, and very helpful, with tips and suggestions for places around town. The common room is a pleasant spot to sit, chat, or add a drawing to the guest book. Breakfast is simple but good, with toast, spreads, and fruit. The shared bathroom and toilet were fairly clean, and there’s a public computer. Wi-Fi is free but not very strong. Also, the cats are very cute!
Naz and Ranee were friendly and very helpful. The price and service made this feel like a win-win place. It’s right in the city, with the city’s attractions within walking distance. I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting Georgetown.
A pleasant two-night stay, and a good quiet place to relax during a visa run. The air conditioning was great, as was the free breakfast. It was very quiet, though, and there wasn’t much interaction with the staff or other guests.
There’s no kitchen, and I would’ve liked a kettle for hot water and a drinking water filter. The bunk beds didn’t feel very sturdy, and the walls are extremely thin. On the plus side, the ground-floor common area is nice, the people running the place are lovely, and the Wi-Fi was good. The AC is good too if you choose the AC dorm. Breakfast was peanut butter, jam, and fruit.
