The location in the heart of George Town makes G99 Hotel a handy base for seeing the architecture and trying the street food. I also liked the rooftop bar’s wide city views, along with the gym, spa, and pool. The hotel has a polished feel, with contemporary decor and cultural touches that reflect George Town’s heritage. Rooms have modern amenities, and the staff are warm and attentive. There’s a sumptuous breakfast buffet, and the atmosphere feels calm. My stay felt comfortable and luxurious, with a thoughtful mix of modern style and old-world charm. G99 Hotel left me with memories I’ll cherish.

It’s a budget hotel, so don’t expect much. Still, a separate room with air conditioning cost only 600 ringit for a month. The cheapest dorm bed I found for the same period was 800 rg.

The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bedsheets were yellowing. There was dust and hair left behind, the rooms were dirty, and the toilet was disgusting. I hope the boss pays attention and renovates and repairs the place.

The price suited a budget stay, but there was no internet line, Wi-Fi, or TV channel. I stayed 28-29 /12/23 and could hear people talking and having fun beside my room around 3 or 4am. It was noisy.
