I felt like I was being scolded rather than welcomed. The owner shouted at guests and was unbelievably rude. She hadn't explained the rules properly and didn't even let me explain my side. Travel should feel safe and welcoming, but this was the complete opposite. If you expect respectful service, stay elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels that treat guests properly.
The owner yelled at guests, and the rules weren't clearly explained. I wasn't given a chance to speak, and the whole thing felt more like being scolded than staying at a hotel. It was a horrible stay. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere. Plenty of better hotels show basic courtesy.
I chose 3133 Heritage Home mainly because it was close to Hospital Pulau Pinang (General Hospital), but a booking issue made the stay very inconvenient. I'd paid the full price for a room with its own attached bathroom. When I arrived, I was given a room where the bathroom was outside, and I had to walk past other rooms to reach it. The owner said the rooms with attached bathrooms had already been booked by other customers. That's not what I'd reserved, and it wasn't the private bathroom I paid for.
The room and toilet were clean, and it felt like a very good, safe place to spend the night. Just keep in mind that the room space isn't big.
Bad service. The owner yells at you over things that could be sorted out nicely. Stay away.
