The road outside is busy and made crossing difficult, but the apartment felt like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and the laundry machine comes with detergent. It’s a couple hundred meters from the mall, a 7/11, and a few hawker centers, and about a kilometer from Station 9, the free bus. They cleaned our room nicely each time. I’ll stay here again when we’re back.

The stairs are part of the self-service setup. If stairs are a problem for you, that could change the experience, though a wheelchair is a different situation. As for noise, this is an old building converted into apartments right beside the road. My partner and I slept fine even though we chose the street-facing room, so I don’t really understand the complaints about it. I found the hotel while looking for a couple of nights’ stay with a washing machine and dryer as my main concern. The third-party booking site gave us a free upgrade from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom unit at the same price. The front office was no longer available when I arrived, but staff responded quickly on WhatsApp and answered my questions and updates. I’d definitely return.

I wouldn’t recommend these apartments. The building needs maintenance throughout: doors don’t close properly, the walls need paint, and the windows look as though they may never have been cleaned. Traffic from the very busy street is audible in every room around the clock. There’s direct street access, which felt highly unsafe given the state of the doors.

The front room was unbearably noisy from the traffic, while the back room seemed okay. The rooms felt dark, and the rug looked dirty. After sitting on the couch for a while, I got bitten and was very itchy. The place looked spacious but wasn’t comfortable, and I couldn’t wait to leave. I booked based on Google reviews, but my first impression was of an abandoned building: cracked walls, peeling paint, chipped flooring, dust, darkness, and an unpleasant smell. Please remember Room 61. There was no parking provided and no house slippers. The large cracks made me worry the room might collapse, and I hoped it was still liveable.
