We had booked ahead and received confirmation, but after reaching Georgetown we called for directions and were told they couldn’t accommodate us and the booking had been cancelled. The man also claimed he had informed the booking app, which turned out to be untrue. The app said the owner had cancelled just half an hour earlier. We were left in the hot sun and heavy traffic, trying to find somewhere else to stay. Extremely unprofessional.

For the price, it was okok la. The double room I got was clean and cheap, but a bit cramped with little room to move. They only provided hand soap and some body wash, no other toiletries. The air cond wasn’t very powerful, and the orange lighting made the room dim. The TV was mounted in a strange high spot and only had one channel.

The staff were easy to deal with, friendly and helpful, and the transaction went smoothly with no hassle. They gave us a map and pointed out nice places around Penang. For a group of friends on a tight budget, it’s a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

There are plenty of vegetarian makan places and cafes nearby, and the location works really well for a leisure trip. The staff are approachable and helpful, and the free WiFi was decent. This is my second time staying at this Guesthouse, and I love coming back!

The stay was great, and the staff were polite and helpful. Finding a parking space was difficult, though, and there’s no signboard showing the exact location. Staff don’t wait there for check-in or check-out.
