St Hostel

The room’s air conditioning was very cool, which we really needed in the intense heat outside. The shared bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever seen, and the Wi-Fi was great too. There was even Jenga in the common room. For the location, friendly owner Han, cleanliness, and price, this hostel is incredible value.

Our private room had air conditioning and was very comfortable in the Penang heat. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and in an accessible location, with lovely staff. Bathrooms are shared, but they’re well maintained. A really nice place to stay in George Town.

The owner was incredibly rude. I found out from the online confirmation only after booking that all the rooms had shared bathrooms. He wouldn’t even let me wait in the hotel lobby for five minutes while I booked another room at a better hotel. It felt like protecting his reviews mattered more to him than helping travelers.

I’ve visited Penang before, but this was my first chance to stay at s.t. hostel. The place was clean and easy to get around from, right in central George town near little india and street art. Owner mr.Han was a really great person and always recommended places to visit. I gave it five stars because it was worth every penny I paid.
