IM 96 Villa

The staff were very friendly, and the Homestay was really clean. Best vacation experience ever. Highly recommend it in kuantan.

I paid $85 for a small room with two single beds after booking late at night for my uncle, who was visiting from out of town. There was nobody at the counter, so everything was handled over WhatsApp, though you can call too. When the door opened, a strong durian aroma greeted us 😂. For that price, it does the job. No big complaints!

The cigarette smell is what puts me off most. It seeps through the walls and hangs around in our room. Since I've been coming to IM 96 for years, I've also noticed the interior decor getting worn down from tenants overusing it. I don't understand why the owners don't reprimand long-term tenants who smoke in their rooms.

The internet was excellent, and we could stream iflix and Netflix. There are petrol stations, restaurants, and a laundry very close by, which is handy. The room felt small, though, and we had to squeeze in to perform our prayers. Being right beside the road also meant noisy traffic at times, especially what I think were peak hours. For the price, I guess it was worth it.
