For me, this is the gold standard for hosting and guesthouse quality in the RM100-200 range. Ice and Austin gave me the best hosting experience I’ve had in Malaysia. Ice went out of her way to help me several times, so I’ll definitely be back. The rooms are beautifully designed and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the WiFi was far above average, at 500 down and 150 up. They’ve taken care of the little things too, like a hair dryer fixed to the bathroom wall and really nice body soap and shampoo. This also applies to Just Austin Guesthouse, which has the same quality, plus a few extra features like a kitchen and dining room.

The kitchen has a working fridge, drinking water, a kettle, coffee, and tea. The shared bathroom has two showers, toilets, and sinks. Rooms with shared bathroom access open straight onto the kitchen, so it could be noisy. There were no other guests while I was there, though, so it wasn’t an issue. It’s a lovely place, with very comfortable beds, spotless showers and toilets, and all the facilities you need. The staff were friendly and suggested a good place to eat. Parking is available.

We decided at 11pm to stop for the night after realizing the traffic on our way home was awful. The owner was much appreciated, and we got checked in within five minutes of reaching the guesthouse. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. They’d provided everything, including towels, toothbrushes, a shower cap, and coffee. A great experience!

We stayed here over the Merdeka holidays, and the room was clean, modern, and well maintained. What really stood out was how kind, helpful, and attentive the guest house lady and her family were when our car had technical problems. They came to help us, and we were so grateful, as otherwise we might have been stranded. Thanks to them we got home safely. We’ll definitely return, and I highly recommend the place.
