Cititel Express Ipoh

The location is convenient for walking to the train station and concubine lanes, and there’s a 7-11 downstairs. The rooms are a good size and clean, with good lighting and air conditioning. The shower was excellent, with good towels, soap, body wash, and 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner provided. There’s also a hot and cold water dispenser. Staff were friendly and helpful. I could hear my neighbour talking, and the shower pressure was inconsistent, with the water sometimes turning cold for no reason. I stayed only one night and didn’t try the food or other facilities, so I can’t comment on those. All up, it was a good hotel.

The window view of the surrounding area was gorgeous, and I loved the modern look of the recently renovated rooms. They’re classy and beautiful, with a spacious, well-planned layout. I also liked the hotel check it lobby on the 12th floor, especially the lovely furniture, attractive design, and music.

The location made it easy to get to food spots and attractions around Ipoh. Staff were friendly and check-in and check-out went smoothly. The hotel feels new, modern, and very well cared for. Cleanliness stood out throughout, from the lobby and corridors to the room. The room was laid out simply but made smart use of its space. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable. Great value for a clean, modern place. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to friends and family visiting Ipoh.

There’s a 7-Eleven connected to the ground floor, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to Lou Wong chicken rice if that’s of interest. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the security guards were friendly and around throughout. On-site parking is quite limited, but there’s secure off-site parking with a free shuttle. I got a spot in the underground parking, so I didn’t take a photo of the off-site lot. The room was okay.
