Golden Roof Hotel Ampang Ipoh

The staff were friendly, and Ms Tieya from the FO staff gave great hospitality. For a budget hotel, the clean sheets and towels and a comfortable bed were all I needed. Parking is around the hotel, though there aren't many food stalls nearby. Everything else was okay. Thank you.

The toilet could have been cleaner, which is one thing management might look into. Otherwise, we had a good stay, and the room was comfortable and good value. Ms. Tieya & Fana gave us a warm welcome.

I might not be coming to Ipoh as often for work now that I've resigned, but I've stayed at Golden Roof Hotel Ampang Ipoh regularly over the past year, usually every month or two for meetings. Thanks to all the staff for looking after me. If I visit Ipoh for a holiday, I'd choose this hotel again. The location suits me well. It's close to town, with mamak and convenience stores nearby, plus a Family Mart, petrol station, and a masjid a short distance away. Parking can be a little difficult when the nearby gym or badminton court is busy. I travel solo, though, and having more people around makes me feel safer. The booking process has always been smooth, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. My rooms have been very clean, and the air conditioning has worked perfectly.

The area around the hotel is dirty, though there's a 99 speedmart nearby. Our suite was very spacious, but there was no mini bar and the rain shower didn't work, even though the water pressure was good. The afternoon check-in receptionist was blunt and didn't smile. The next day, another receptionist was super friendly and told us about rooms in Cameron Highlands.
