TUI BLUE The Haven Ipoh

Breakfast had a good range of local and Western dishes, and the huge pool was lovely. From the rooms facing the lake, you get a very nice view of the limestone cliffs. I accidentally left my favorite straw hat behind, and the staff kindly found it and kept it for two weeks until I came back for it.

The peaceful feeling I had at The haven Ipoh will stay with me. It sits in front of a serene lake and tall limestone mountains, and walking around the grounds you mostly hear birds, with the melodic Adhan now and then. The pool area is excellent, with shallow pools for children and a larger one where adults can relax or exercise. There’s also a large warm spa with lots of room to unwind, all facing that beautiful lake and mountain scenery. Children have a small playground and can look for the tyrannosaurus hidden in the garden. The lakeside restaurant serves a great selection of Malaysian and Western food. Sahabudden looked after us particularly well, and the other staff were attentive and helpful too. There are also tennis courts and a day spa. It’s 20-30 minutes from Ipoh train station, and getting alcohol at the halal restaurant is difficult. Fortunately, you can order it to your room and enjoy it with the spectacular view. You do have to travel a bit to reach scenery this dramatic, and the hotel is close to Sunway The Lost World of Tambun theme park, which is brilliant. I highly recommend the place and hope to return one day.

TUI BLUE The Haven Ipoh had a really calming feel, surrounded by greenery with fresh air and a peaceful atmosphere. I liked spending time by the quiet pool, where the natural views made it even more relaxing. My room was clean and comfortable, and the food, especially breakfast, was better than I expected. The staff were warm and helpful without making a fuss. It’s the kind of place where you slow down and enjoy the moment. I’d definitely come back.

A good escape from busy city life if you’re happy with peaceful walks in the morning and evening, since there isn’t much to do here. The room was clean, and the pillows and blankets didn’t smell. Breakfast was decent and nice, especially the Ipoh hor fun. It was served by a friendly chef. Staff were helpful and friendly too, particularly Nor Hanis and Roy at the restaurant.
