I paid RM750 for one night in May 2026 through booking.com, so I expected more, especially compared with nearby homestays. The apartment or villa felt poorly maintained, and the only toiletries were small soap and shampoo sachets. Our room was up stairs, though ground-floor options are available. The receptionist wasn’t always at the desk, and it took several trips to find someone who could return our room deposit. Staff were also hard to communicate with in English.

We were happy with our one-night stay, from 9 to 10 November 2025. The resort was peaceful, clean, and well maintained, and the facilities could accommodate many visitors. After arriving late on the first day, we looked around the grounds the next morning. There’s an adults’ pool and a kids’ pool, though the bottom of the pool could use vacuuming to clear the sand. There’s also a large dining area, plenty of parking, and four new pickleball courts. The reception decorations were nice, and the receptionist was warm, friendly, and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a sofa, bed, makeup table, work table, and hanger. Both the room and toilet were clean. It was on the first floor, though, and the steps up were steep, so it may not suit elderly or disabled guests. The shower head was damaged. We’d originally booked a Deluxe room, but the kind receptionist upgraded us to a King room, probably because we were the only guests then. Breakfast was nasi lemak and kopi O, which was good enough for us. We hadn’t explored the area on arrival, but had time to see the surroundings the next day. We left with happy memories and a good experience.

A quiet, relaxing place, good for bringing the family. It’s near the river, and the hospitality was good.

Such a good place to stay in Janda Baik, with a really nice vibe. A good spot to unwind.
