Hotel Sakirah

This is a Malay business hotel with rooms of average standard. It seems short-staffed, and there aren't many facilities. There's also an additional RM3 heritage melaka charge. The area is full of Malay Muslim people, and to me it feels a bit like little Afghanistan.

We stayed for a week and had a splendid time. The staff were friendly and quick, and they'll clean the room if you ask when staying more than a day. I booked a family room and was surprised it had a bathtub. The room size was just right for a couple and child. It's an eco-friendly or green hotel, or something like that. The price was affordable and worth it. There was a 50rm cash deposit and a 2rm/day historical fee, something along those lines. Convenience stores and restaurants are walkable, and Zus and family mart were about eight minutes away. They provided an iron, water boiler, and coffee. A carpet in the room would have been better. I'd definitely come back.

For a family staying 2-3 days, the price feels worthwhile, and the room has two queen beds. Bring your own "toto" and six people could fit. There’s a small 3x3ft area in front of the TV. The location works for a short overnight stay. There’s no full-length mirror outside the bathroom, and there aren't enough power sockets. Bring an extension if you have lots of phones to charge.

The bedrooms were clean and the staff were wonderful and friendly. It's right beside a laundromat and Kenny Rogers. The only downside is there's no elevator.
