Hermess Hotel

My holiday was a disaster. I booked the wrong dates on Agoda and was told by the receptionist that cancellation wouldn’t be refunded. Agoda customer service said it was up to the hotel’s policy, and when I called the hotel again, they said all canceled bookings were nonrefundable. With good hospitality, I think the hotel’s customer service should call when a guest can’t check in or has a cancellation problem, explain the situation, and maybe suggest another option. Instead, they just kept silent. Worst management.

The deposit was RM 50, and that was the last thing I wanted to deal with after a bad stay. There’s no lift, the bed was poor, and the walls were so thin that I could clearly hear the next room. I suspect they’re partitions. The water flow was very slow, and the bathroom was very high, with mosaic tiles that could easily fall off. It spoiled my holiday mood.

I booked this for friends. They had a neutral impression, but said they could contact the front desk for any requests. The location is very strategic.

If you need a peaceful sleep, skip this place. The walls are ultra-thin, and I could hear loud banging from next door clearly. There’s no lift, and the toilet floor is about a quarter meter high. Anyone with huge luggage or arthritis like me should avoid it. The staff were barely helpful. At SGD40, you can get a better hotel. Don’t waste your money.
