It's decent for the price, but have MYR100 in cash ready for the security deposit. I checked in after 8 pm and got a basement room. It had the basic necessities, but no decorations like the photos, and it was a little old. Still clean enough, with a comfortable enough bed. Since there are no windows for ventilation, there's a built-in exhaust fan that you can switch off. Toiletries provided included a toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap, body wash, shampoo, and hand soap. No slippers. The hot water and adjustable air conditioning both worked well. Johor Bahru City Square Mall is very close, under a five-minute walk if you use the covered staircase between the buildings.

I keep choosing this place when I'm in Jb. It's easy to get around from here, though the walk to CIQ and city square isn't sheltered. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly, and the hotel has a very old school Peranakan feel. I'd recommend staying here.

The easy walk to JB Sentral was the one good thing about this property. The bathroom door jamb was broken when we entered the room. I took a picture and showed the staff, but they just shrugged and pushed it back in. It kept falling out again. The walls were filthy too. There are plenty of other places to stay for better value.

We had an okay family stay. They upgraded us to a queen bed and a single bed. Everything was fine and clean, the sheets were clean too, and the soap and shampoo were just right.
