Hotel Zamburger Bliss

The staff were helpful, the room and toilet were clean, and the towel was clean too. My room was spacious and fairly quiet, even though many people complain about noise. There was a water filter machine right beside my room. The location is good, near a shopping complex and a 24-hour convenience store, but the hotel isn't suitable for OKU because there's no lift at all. The TV was there but the channels wouldn't play, as they apparently have no paid subscription. Parking was horrible, though I was lucky to get a spot right in front of the hotel. For a one-night short stay, it was okay for me.

I appreciated that they kept the earrings I forgot, and there's a coin laundry across from reception. Less than 100m away is a shopping mall with cafes and fast-food restaurants. Still, the stay didn't meet my expectations. We arrived at midnight after struggling through the Singapore border with heavy luggage, and the elderly man at reception took a long time to check us in. There was no elevator, and our room was on the third floor, so we had to carry everything up the stairs. The room had no window. There was glass behind the wood, and I could see through a gap, but I don't understand why it was covered.

The only good thing I noticed was the laundromat on the ground floor. The room itself was disappointing: stained, very dirty walls, a strong cigarette smell despite it being a non-smoking room, a brown mark on the pillow (hopefully not blood), and a really dirty aircon. Customer service was severely impolite. I messaged both WhatsApp accounts about the room, first got an automatic reply, then gave them more details and was blocked completely. I also got no answer to my email. The whole experience, especially the childish way customer service acted, was disappointing.

The room's cleanliness was acceptable, and I liked that the lights and air-con worked without the access card. But the highway noise all night completely wiped out any chance of sleep. My room was on the third floor, with a window facing the highway. Sleep quality was zero, I didn't get a single minute of proper rest. This room shouldn't be used for overnight guests. I stayed one night at V Hotel for S$32, and I won't come back or recommend it. For comparison, I should have paid S$52 a night at Crystal Crown Hotel, only 400m away. I've had excellent stays there before. Its rooms are about 30 sqm, quiet at night, and I've always slept well. V Hotel is cheap, but not worth it. Absolutely not recommended.
