Prestigo Hotel

One of the strangest hotel stays I've had. The Wi-Fi was slow and usually showed only two bars. The power went out in the middle of the night while I was halfway through a bath. It was pitch black, and I couldn't even find my phone, so I had to go downstairs naked to find the receptionist and get the power switched back on. Two ladies came up and saw me naked. They just said sorry and couldn't do anything else. This was the worst 3-star hotel I've stayed in, and I'll never come back.

There was a cockroach in the room, and the bedsheet had a stain. When I asked for fresh sheets, staff said it was a stubborn mark and refused to change them. The aircon also barely worked. I reported it around 6 or 7 times, but they kept telling me it had been fixed, even though the room was still hot and the hallway felt colder. They said they couldn't move us because the hotel was fully booked, and wouldn't offer a refund. The poor ventilation was bad enough, but being repeatedly told the problem was fixed when it wasn't made the stay even worse.

The front desk staff made a terrible first impression. They seemed careless and unprofessional, and some even appeared to be asleep while on duty. Their attitude and body language came across as if helping guests was a favor. I found the service unacceptable. Management should address this with proper training or staff who take the job seriously. The reception is where guests first encounter a hotel, and here that experience fell completely short.

There’s a very loud automatic Islamic alarm around 4 every day, and it kept waking me up. It’s not great when you’re trying to take a short nap, and the location makes the sound hard to avoid.
