Setia Sky 88 Living in the Skies

The city view is lovely, and I’ve heard the karaoke room is impressive. Security is good and strict, and the design feels spacious and luxurious, very atas. The building does seem largely empty, though, with echoes in the common areas and a mostly vacant carpark.

I booked this apartment on Agoda for 14/12/2025 to 15/12/2025 and paid everything upfront. When I arrived, they asked for an extra RM200 “refundable” deposit. I know deposits are common, but there was no reception or staff on site, and no face-to-face contact. Everything was handled online. They wanted an online money transfer, my NRIC or passport details, my bank account information, and for me to join a WhatsApp group just to check in. They said the refund would take 1-3 days. With nobody there in person, the whole process felt unsafe, suspicious and unprofessional. I refused to enter because of those red flags. I never stayed, but still lost the full amount I paid through Agoda. They did issue a receipt, which doesn’t make this acceptable. I also spoke directly to the building security guard, who said this happens many times: guests arrive, see what’s going on, and leave. This didn’t feel transparent, guest-friendly or trustworthy. If you care about your money, personal information and peace of mind, don’t book this place. It felt like a scam and unsafe.

The complex has three towers, two pools and gyms by both pools, and we loved our stay. The apartment we had, B13-03, was especially lovely, and the host was extraordinary. When we checked in, the electricity was out across the whole level. We went to management and they fixed it right away. The host didn’t know we’d contacted management and tried to sort it out himself. He even left a welcome package at the door because of the problem. The outdoor pool on the 8th floor is large, with a sauna and a small jacuzzi. There’s also a semi-outdoor pool on the 42nd floor, which we liked more because it felt more private. This place was just perfect for us.

The upper-floor gym, game room and pool are thoughtfully designed and come with a great view. The condominium is very well built, with good materials and roomy corridors and walking paths.
