9 Square Hotel - Bangi

Really bad. The power went out in my room alone in the middle of the night, from 3 a.m. until subuh.

The room is clean, and after my third stay the counter offered me RM 10. I could hear people passing in the corridor quite loudly, which was the downside. Still, it’s good overall, and you can refill hot water here.

The location is strategic, with lots of cafes and shops around. The rooms are clean, though a bit small, with a comfy bed, good bathroom, and enough water pressure. Reception staff are friendly, security is good, and there’s an elevator. Since it’s in a multi-storey shoplot, you need a key card to access the guest room area on each floor. Rooms with windows cost more, and parking might be a problem.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Front desk service was good, and the place was neat and clean. Guests get a parking card that works with TnG at check-in, and there’s a lift. The room is a little small, though. Google Maps wasn’t reliable for finding the hotel, so you need a sense of direction because most of the roads are one-way.
