There’s a banquet room here that looks quite nice for wedding functions. For everyday shopping, though, there isn’t much food variety, mostly fast food such as McDonald’s and Burger King, plus CU, Tealive, and an NSK market store. Still, it’s convenient for people living here.

We had such a fun stay here with my kid. It’s a great place for a family vacation, and being able to cook in the full kitchen helped us save money. The place was clean, the water was good and the heater worked, and there was an iron and a blower too. Swimming and gym facilities were available, and everything was accessible. God bless all the staff. I hope more people come here, and we’ll see you again.

I came for a chess tournament on Sunday, 29 September, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and found that hardly any shops were open, so we wondered if the mall had only just opened or was about to close. It was my first visit, and I’d been looking forward to the food court after someone promoted it. Only one shop was open, technically two stalls run by the same people. The food itself was really good: creamy garlic chicken with rice and Thai spicy chicken with rice. Service was painfully slow with just two people working, even though only our table and one other were there. The sizzling yee mee was okay, with egg and boneless chicken but no vegetables. My kids enjoyed the pan mee. It wasn’t the best, but they liked it, so I was happy. We had to go outside the door to get drinks from the booth.

The prayer room has been shut for a whole year, and residents have been stopped from using it without any clear reason. That’s really upsetting, especially in a Muslim-majority country where residents need prayer facilities. Management used to be acceptable and cooperative two years ago, but its attitude has become extremely poor over the past year and a half. Communication is difficult and problems aren’t dealt with properly. I hope they improve their service and reconsider this decision for everyone’s sake.

The food court isn’t air-conditioned, so keep that in mind. If you’re caught in traffic on Kajang Silk, this mall could be a place to stop. Parking is cheap, just RM1 per entry, and there’s a lovely mural you can take photos of while shopping at Lulu Hypermarket. There’s also a self-service laundry, so you could wait for your clothes while watching a movie at Amerin Cineplex, a cinema company I hadn’t heard of before. There aren’t many local businesses here, but it’s worth supporting them.
