There was nobody to help when we arrived, and I couldn’t find any staff to ask questions. The place felt empty, dusty, and more like a construction site than somewhere to stay. The door had no key lock, and the fridge they provided was very dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. The service made me feel as if they were just taking guests’ deposits. We were scared by the environment, so we left without staying the night.

I only stopped by briefly and didn’t stay. It struck me as an authentic kampung setting, somewhere to let your mind and body rest. The area around it is quite bare, so I think you’d need to plan activities to make a stay interesting. This place is a little jewel in those sparse surroundings.

I love this place, but you have to be ready for kampung life. There’s no air conditioning, just a fan in each room, and you might want an extra blanket at night. You hear the forest after dark, and a bit of dirt, vintage things and animal sounds are normal here. The owner and person in charge were so nice to us. I’ll come back 🌷 Not too bad.

This place feels like a nice break from stressful life. I’ve been here more than once and think it’s beautiful. There are animals and insects around, so it may not suit you if you can’t stand them, though staying indoors keeps you about 90% safe from them. One useful option is volunteering here: you can stay for at least 7 days for free and work a few hours a day.
