OYO 417 Raintree Boutique Hotel

Parking was tricky in the narrow town area, but the stay itself was pleasant. My room was clean, housekeeping came by, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was there for three days and two nights. The air conditioning had a small problem, which they sorted out quickly and professionally.

I’d booked a room for one night a week ahead. Then, on check-in day, I found an email saying the hotel had cancelled it the night before. Why cancel at the last minute like that? Really awful.

The outside looks good, and the room makes a decent first impression. They also provide the basic toiletries and arrange them nicely. But I was concerned by the bedsheets, which had holes in them. The air conditioning was loud and didn’t work well, making it hard to sleep. In my room it threw out ice, started smoking, and leaked all night. I didn’t see any smoke detectors, which made the situation feel unsafe. After I reported it, they moved me to another room, but the air conditioning there also had a problem, this time with its cover missing. Management tried to deal with the noise by taking parts off, but I still felt uneasy about the condition of things. It’s cheap, but the place still needs to be safe for guests.

They advertise free parking, but it only applies at night, and there’s no private parking for hotel guests. Payment is cash only. The bedsheet seemed okay, and thank God the air conditioning was okay too. This place could work for backpackers or people getting around by public transport.
