There's no elevator, so getting big suitcases up to an upper floor takes some effort. The hotel is also a bit far from the main city center, though a cab or Grab can solve that. The rooms are spacious, the facilities work well, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. For a short stay, I thought it was nice and worth the price.

I booked a room with a window, but mine had none. They charged RM30 for early check-in even though rooms were available, which felt like a stupid new policy. There was dog poo all over the parking area, and the toilet smelled like shit before I'd even used it. Damn awful hotel.

The room itself was clean and nice. The problem was the female receptionist, who seemed uninterested in working. I asked her something and she ignored me while looking at her phone, then stared at me for two minutes. That attitude can hurt the hotel business. Completely unacceptable.

The staff were great, not the blank-faced receptionists you often get at budget hotels. It's a decent, affordable place with plenty of parking, and Kangar city isn't far away.

There's not much to expect from the hotel itself, and the towels could be better. Bring your own hangers. Still, it's clean for the price, the Wi-Fi works when you need it, and the town center is close enough for a quick trip around.
