Ants Hotel

The room had a simple design, and I was surprised to learn the hotel has 112 rooms. It looks ordinary outside but feels quite luxurious inside. My Standard Room was a bit small. I noticed a stain on the towel, but staff replaced it straight away after I reported it, probably because it wasn’t visible while folded. At first I was disappointed to find hair in the toilet and linen that wasn’t very clean. Those issues were sorted quickly, and the staff’s warm hospitality left me satisfied. I chatted with Manager Miss Nuridzah, who was friendly and gave good customer service. Front office staff Ezril Aina and Adzie were polite and helpful too. I used to work in hotels, and I can say this team is impressive and well trained. It felt almost like they were personally inviting me back. Salute to the Manager and Operations Team. I’ll return to try the cafe next time.

Right in the heart of Kangar, with laundry, restaurants, and a mini market nearby. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Kuala Perlis and 40 minutes to Padang Besar. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and nice to stay in. Staff were friendly, the air conditioning worked well, and the toilet was okay.

The staff were very helpful, but the room gets only two stars from me because it has no soundproofing at all. We could hear people in the hallway and the water pump whenever the neighbours showered. If you’re a light sleeper, this place could be difficult.

There are lots of eateries nearby, and parking is available, though limited. It’s around a ten-minute drive from Kangar town and 40 minutes from Wang Kelian viewpoint. My windowless queen room had soft, clean, new bedding and came with water, toiletries, and a hairdryer. I’d rate the room 4/5 and the shower 5/5, though some bathroom faucets leaked. It could get noisy at night with kids screaming. At check-in, the RM100 deposit has to be paid by cash or credit card. Debit cards and QR payment aren’t accepted.
