I had trouble at the main border crossing, and he suggested Pedang Besser. No problem. The grounds were pleasant, with a pet rabbit and some chickens, and the manager was incredibly kind and helpful. They even lent me a kettle for my morning coffee. The room was great apart from an unpleasant pillow smell. The hot shower had good water pressure.

A little warm at first, but it was fine after that. It's quite a comfortable place to sleep for the night, with hot water, a TV with a USB cable, and air conditioning. It's a personal property, with hens and turkeys around, and sits away from the main roads.

Lovely setting with nature views and a nice atmosphere. The rooms were clean and new, with air conditioning, hot water, and a soft bed. The owner is the sweetest, kindest Malay I've met, and was super friendly.

There are lots of chickens and ducks around to keep you company, so it feels very kampung. The owner is really friendly. Weekdays did feel very lonely, though.

A nice chance to recharge and get a feel for simple living. It felt like being at home, just away from home.
