Loft Pals Urbanstay Lodge; Kapit

There isn't a lift, but the stairs are clean, brightly lit, and nicely decorated, with a fresh scent. My room was clean too, with no strong smoke smell, and the staff helped make my one-night stay work. As of May 2021, I'd say this is one of the better places to stay in Kapit. It's right in the town center, near plenty of shops for local food and groceries. I'd recommend it if safety is your priority for an overnight stay.

Check in at PETRONAS, right next to the Jetty. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the price is affordable. The bathroom has a rustic feel and was clean. Service was good, and the staff were friendly. There's a water heater, kettle, TV, several charging sockets, and air conditioning that's well serviced. 10/10.

The service was awful. I waited 30 minutes to check out and nobody came. The room was filthy, the bathroom smelled terrible, and there were bird droppings outside the window, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned. Absolutely not recommended.

The location gets 6/10 from me. Check-in is at an office in a different building from the room, so it was a bit hard to find as a first-timer, but it was okay. For RM130, I booked a room with 2 queens beds, and it was worth the money, 8/10 for price. Cleanliness was 10/10: the room was neat, the bathroom quite big, and towels and toilet tissue were provided. The TV gets 10/10 too, with lots of channels. Among the hotels I've stayed at, this one provides things women need, including a hair dryer, straightener, and iron. Please consider adding complimentary shampoo, shower cream, and coffee and tea sachets.
