Bayu View Hotel Klang

This was our second time checking into an OYO hotel, and both stays were bad. At Bayu hotel, we weren't given towels or a toothbrush and toothpaste, and we couldn't use the phone. We had to call management about the towels, and they sent only one even though we had booked a superior room, not a single. Very disappointing. The only one-star point is the nice pictures on the room wall.

The room still wasn't cleaned when I got the access card at 5 PM, even though check-in starts at 2 PM. When I asked why housekeeping was so late, the receptionist snapped, “You ask the housekeeper.” She'd already raised her voice at me over my IC after asking for my deposit and IC. I gave the money and forgot the IC, and my friends saw the whole exchange. She could have reminded me politely. Worst customer service I've experienced. The floor was sticky after mopping, as if the mop was dirty and hadn't been rinsed. There was a strange smell in the cupboard, so I sprayed perfume before hanging my clothes. Water pressure was low too. I hope management takes customer service seriously.

Customer service was very helpful, and the hotel is generally okay for a few days. A few things need attention: the water heater pressure was unsatisfactory, and the air conditioner needs replacing since we had to run the ceiling fan alongside it to cool the room. They should also provide a do-not-disturb or room-service card for the door.

It's a nice budget hotel, and the lobby is nicely decorated. There's even a lift though the hotel is only two floors. The bathroom needs work: the toilet flush was broken, which made it seem like maintenance isn't scheduled. The clothes cabinet smelled bad, and the instant coffee came without a teaspoon. Hope they improve these things.
