Dream Garden Hotel

The hotel showed no flexibility or care when I asked for help with a mistaken booking. I cancelled within 10 minutes and immediately booked a longer stay instead. Agoda said the refund only needed hotel approval, but the hotel kept sending me back to Agoda and refused to help. I lost more than RM300, even though I hadn’t used any service and the hotel had no actual loss. The response felt cold and almost robotic. Very poor customer care.

There was a strong cigarette smell, and the bathroom was in poor shape: the toilet was dark and the door wouldn’t close properly. The TV had no channels. My roommate was bothered by strange noises, and we could hear sounds from the next room. The air conditioner ran for 24 hours but the room stayed hot, so I only managed to sleep because I was exhausted. The receptionist was rarely at the counter. She came up to check the air conditioner, but said we couldn’t move rooms because only one “big room” was available. Honestly, we didn’t see any other guests during our stay, just me and my two friends. It was a very uncomfortable stay.

I stayed in Room 113, and I won’t be visiting this hotel again. The toilet was extremely dark, the TV didn’t work properly at first, and the door couldn’t be locked. A disappointing first stay.

We left without staying overnight, and this will be my first and last visit. We heard a sound like someone hitting the wall, even though our room was at the end. We also felt as if someone was standing on our bed. The toilet was extremely dark, even around 3pm. There were two of us checked in, but it felt like there were three. I’m not sure if this is just what you get for what we paid.
