The room phone didn't work, and management never responded even though other guests were calling. The fire alarm first sounded around 5 a.m. We had to take the emergency stairs from level 25 down to level 9 with my parents, who are both over 60, then got stuck there because there was no way out or access to a lift. We had to locate security ourselves. They then said a smoke detector had set off the alarm, possibly because another guest was smoking. After all those stairs, that was extremely frustrating. The alarm sounded another 2-3 times afterward. If there really were a fire, people might think it was another false alarm. Very disappointing and badly managed.

I'm complaining about this again. The guards at the soho/residential suites sunsuria forum aren't doing their job properly, in my experience. The girls staying with me have also complained that guards stare at them for a long time and make them uncomfortable, especially when they're living there on their own. We don't feel safe. Management needs to do something, or we'll make this go viral. Most of the time, the guards are just staring at girls. That's what I have to say.
