Swing & Pillows @ Histana I-City, Shah Alam

The room was spacious and clean, and there was plenty of parking. I ended up here after the Shah Alam hotel I’d booked was overbooked; the staff directed me here by phone. Outside, firecrackers for Chinese New Year made quite a bit of noise.

The rooms are comfortable and the location is good, and cleanliness was good too. But major renovation work is underway, with sudden power cuts and water interruptions. Staff seemed inexperienced handling guests during those problems, and communication was sometimes confusing. There are no amenities, and even a cup has to be requested.

Moon was friendly, and check-in was quick. The room was clean, the hot shower was excellent, and the staff were cheerful. The central location near the metro worked well for a quick trip. 10/10, I’ll book again.

Our stay was January 2-4, 2025, and it was a very bad experience. The hotel manager was rude to us and to the booking website manager. We were also told parking was public, but found that it came with a fee. We arrived at 6:00 p.m. to find the room messy and unprepared, so they moved us. The water heater in the replacement room was broken, leaving us without hot water for all 3 days and 2 nights. Drilling and hacking right above us started at 8 a.m. and went on until the afternoon for 2 days, stopping only after multiple complaints from guests.
