The towels were thick, the air-con was nice and cold, and the hotel was clean apart from some water damage on the wall. For a business trip, I'd recommend it: the price is very affordable, and the location is not bad either. It's a great, clean hotel, and I'd choose it again if I visit Kluang. Maybe another room would have no wall damage, but otherwise it gets five stars from me.

This was my second stay, and I think I had the same room as last time. It's a large corner room with windows running almost the full length and width, and views on two sides of the hotel. The room has a desk and chair with a mini fridge underneath, a dressing table with a mirror, and two armchairs with a side table beside the bed. The lobby had four bottles of Moma water as well as a water dispenser. The bathroom has a bathtub, but no rain shower. The shower had good pressure and changed temperature within a second or two, so no complaints there. There are two parking areas: open spaces by the main entrance and a single-level basement just past the hotel. I parked outside mostly on my previous visit, but used the basement throughout this stay. It fits fewer than a dozen cars and is dark much of the time. From there, an elevator entrance leads up to the rooms. Unless you really need breakfast at the hotel, you're better off eating elsewhere. The breakfast area is on Level 4, but the lift doesn't open right onto it. Step out, turn left toward the stairs, and go down one flight. Bright lights lead you to some simple food. It's convenient, but the choices are very limited. If you're not fussy about quality or taste and just want enough to eat, it'll do. I'll most likely stay here again next time I'm in Kluang.

We've been loyal customers at Anika and always stayed there when visiting Kluang, so the drop in service has really disappointed me. On our last trip in December 2025, I noticed the cleaning standard had slipped. For our February 5-7, 2026 visit, we booked two deluxe twin rooms for five people and added an extra bed to one room. Each bathroom had only one toilet roll. When we were nearly out, I went down to reception for another. Since one room had three people, I asked to take more than one extra roll for both rooms. The receptionist said that if I took two, housekeeping wouldn't refill either room the next day, even if the rolls were gone. She said each room was entitled to just one roll a day. I was dismayed. I asked if guests who needed more were expected to go buy it once they passed the quota. Is there no way to treat regular guests well, or has Anika become so popular that it takes its guests for granted? Managing housekeeping costs is reasonable, but I hope Anika Hotel treats guests fairly when they're paying for service. Most hotels provide two rolls a day without questions, and some don't even make guests account for them. Anika Hotel is neither a motel nor an inn. Please maintain your standards. We'd also paid for an extra bed and have always asked for an extra pillow. In the past, Anika gave us one when we requested it. Every bed at Anika already has two pillows, so I don't understand why we should have to pay extra when we've paid for an extra bed for another person and received only one pillow for it. This February, when we asked for an extra pillow, we were told it would cost $10 per pillow per night. I was puzzled again. The staff said the housekeeping standards had changed.

My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice view over the heart of Kluang. I stayed on the seventh floor, which is designated for smoking rooms. Food and essentials are easy to find nearby. Maybank, Bank Islam, McDonald’s, KFC, Domino’s Pizza, mamak restaurants, and the “ngepot” bazaar-style eating area are all within walking distance, so there's food at any time. The central location is a big plus. The room was well maintained and had the basics covered, including a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. There were also plenty of TV channels for relaxing. Parking is limited. There's underground parking and extra open spaces in front of the hotel, but those can fill up during busy hours. A very good option for a short visit or business trip if you want to stay in central Kluang, and especially handy if you prefer a smoking room.

The staff are polite and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location for the price of a three-star stay. Food is easy to find on foot, especially at Ngepot, and there's a 7 Eleven across the road. Some rooms have been renovated, with improved flooring and bathroom tiling. Keep in mind the walls are not soundproof. Booking directly with the hotel may get you a better rate. Also, Hotel Anika is different from Hotel Anika Inn, which is now under different management.
