I liked the room. It was no-frills and had no window, but it had what I needed, including a good desk and reliable wifi. The hotel is right on Jalan Besar, which is noisy with traffic outside, but I wasn’t disturbed. There’s a 7-Eleven and a KK store downstairs, a stop for local buses heading south, and lots of places to eat and get coffee within a short walk. The river and Kuantan188, the tower by the river’s edge, are also a short walk away. The check-in was a bit odd at first because there was no staff member at the counter. I think they were watching on camera, since the phone rang and I was given the check-in details, including the code for the lockbox outside the room. There was some miscommunication when I extended my stay over whatsapp, and someone came to tell me I was late checking out. Nothing major.

The room had plenty of space, though the windows were tiny and dirty. The location is handy, close to Terminal Bus, Mengkibol river, Aeon Big, Sunway Kluang Mall, Parkson, and nearby restaurants. It’s one of the better budget hotels in town. Parking is on Level 4 and needs a password, so if you’re driving and it’s your first check-in, call reception to get it.

The room was quite large, but felt dated and could use updated technology. There was no breakfast, as far as I could tell, unlike at Muar Traders Hotel, maybe.

For a simple overnight stay, this budget place is fine. My room was clean and basic, with no window, but it had a water heater and hair dryer. Good value, and the service was friendly.

For a really reasonable price, I got one of the biggest and cleanest rooms I’ve seen. It was surprisingly spacious and very clean.
