Noise kept disturbing my sleep, though I don’t know where it was coming from near my room. Around 10 in the morning, there was also loud engineering work and machine noise. I booked a superior room through Agoda and was first given one where the air conditioner didn’t work properly. Even set to 16°C, it felt like a fan. The receptionist changed my room, and that one was much better.

There’s plenty of parking, and the hotel is nice and comfortable. The only downside is there isn’t a convenience store within walking distance, but that wasn’t a big issue for me.

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The pillow was a little hard but still okay, and the tap water was warm with a nice shower. The wardrobe wasn’t great, though I didn’t use it. The TV didn’t list its channels and only had Malay dramas, and there was no information book in the room, so I took off a star. For a cheap, simple, clean stay near Gunung Lambak, Hotel Setia was still worth the price. I went through an Agoda offer, and the room was just right for two.

Good value for money, with a spacious, clean room. The security staff were friendly, and eateries are nearby.

It’s on the outskirts of Kluang town, so the hotel feels calm and peaceful. The place was nice and clean, with helpful, friendly staff and plenty of parking. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Kluang.
