I came to Majulan Hotel for convenience because of an event at ITCC, and my company sponsored the stay. I wasn’t expecting much, but stepping into the room gave me a real wow feeling. The design was beautiful, especially the bathroom marble, bedroom wood finishes, and lighting. The view over the Penampang area, my hometown, made it feel more personal. The room did feel a little plain, though. Some wall art could give it more character. I understand this may be a basic room, with more decoration in higher-tier options. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help from the moment I arrived at the lobby. Thanks especially to the staff member who brought over my blazer and office shirt after I’d left them behind that morning. They helped without any fuss, and I was relieved to stay on schedule. A few bathroom things need work. The bidet wouldn’t stay open and kept closing, which was inconvenient, especially when I needed it urgently. Water splashed past the shower glass and pooled on the floor, and the drain didn’t clear it well. I couldn’t find a mop or broom, so I tried a small towel, but it soaked through quickly and didn’t help much. The slippery floor meant I had to be careful moving around. The shower controls didn’t mark hot and cold, so I had to figure them out by trial and error. Even after I found the hot side, the water wasn’t very warm. I managed since the stay was complimentary. Despite those bathroom problems, I really appreciated the staff and the room’s design. Thanks for the hospitality at Majulan Hotel!

The rooms are roomy, and being next to a local mall makes eating and shopping easy. It’s a decent hotel, but it’s not near the city centre, so I wouldn’t suggest it unless you have a car.

I’ve stayed here twice, and both times the way the staff treated me was appalling. I don’t know why I came back when khotel staff treat me so much better. You’re a 3 star hotel, but that’s no reason not to treat customers better. Please improve your customer service.

The bathroom was one of my favourite parts, super clean and nice. The family room was roomy too, though the mini fridge barely worked and wasn’t very cold. There were loads of TV channels, but most couldn’t be accessed or were in mandarin. Everything else was decent, pretty much what you’d expect from a proper hotel. The pool and gym were easy to get to and well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The building looked great too, from the lobby and hallways to the lifts. Having ITCC mall right beside it was a bonus, with everything just a short walk away. It was a pleasant, simple, comfy stay and worth it for a short trip. I’d consider coming back next time 🫰🏻

Our new room on the 8th floor was spotless, cozy, and had lovely cold air-conditioning. We’d first been assigned a room on the 4th floor, but noticed a slight air-conditioning issue and told the front desk. They moved us straight away, with no fuss or wait. Brandon at the front desk handled it so smoothly, 10000/10 service! 🙏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 This was our first stay at The MAJULAN Hotel, and the warm welcome from the front desk impressed us right from arrival. The room was neat, spacious, comfortable, and had a stunning view. We were blown away. Bilik 8003❤️ The hotel is right above ITCC Mall, so shops, food, and fun are downstairs. We heard a swimming pool will open very soon, which is another plus. We highly recommend it to visitors, and we’ll definitely come back. The MAJULAN Hotel has lifelong fans here! 💯🔥
