Capsule Inn

The room and service were great, and the location makes it easy to reach the tourist attractions. One thing to know before you go: when I stayed, I had to climb the stairs to the third floor because I couldn’t find the elevator. They should put up a sign showing where it is. The elevator also closes at midnight and stays closed until morning, so plan around that.

The bathrooms are reasonably okay, but they could be much better. There are lots of personal items around, and things get very wet. The kitchen is usable for cooking, though it’s cluttered too. It’s a good-value budget hostel with a nice lounge for relaxing and somewhere to iron clothes. Breakfast is simple, just bread and jam, and coffee and tea are available all day. They also rent to longer-term guests by the week or month.

The pods, kitchen, toilets and common area were all very clean. My partner and I stayed for a week, and the staff treated us with kindness and professionalism. The owners, Zen and Alex, are lovely and easygoing, understand the backpacker community, and do their best to accommodate you. It’s a nice balance of chill and party. The hostel is relaxed during the day and at night, with separate beach events on Thursdays and Saturdays, then you can head to their Cham Cham bar. They also rent scooters. I’d definitely recommend it.

The capsule stay is comfortable, the staff service is good, and the location is handy for finding food and getting to the mall. The frustrating part was parking. Nobody on duty told us at check-in that the car park in front of the capsules inn is charged by the building management. The parking cost ended up more than four times our capsule rate per night.
