The staff were polite, but they could have dealt with this more professionally and quickly. During my stay, the curtain rail came down suddenly and nearly hit me, which felt dangerous and is a serious hotel safety issue. I reported it and was told maintenance would come, then waited almost an hour in the room. That delayed my plans and affected my checkout schedule, but they wouldn't extend checkout to make up for the inconvenience. Safety and prompt service should come first. I hope management takes this seriously and improves both room maintenance and guest service procedures.

At 2 million per night, there should at least be somewhere for guests to sit in the lobby while waiting, but there isn't. The reception staff were unfriendly and insisted I book through an app instead of accepting a direct booking. There are many better choices at this price.

I stayed with a friend from 6th-8th March 2026. Capital Hotel required a DEPOSIT of RM200 IN CASH, and the lobby service was unwelcoming both before and after our stay. After we'd left, staff inspected the room without us there and told us they'd found a small laminate peel on the cabinet. They kept the full RM200 deposit, which felt very unfair since we hadn't damaged the furniture. Future guests should photograph any scratches or damage, even minor ones, at check-in. Otherwise, your RM200 CASH DEPOSIT could be forfeited over damage that may not have been caused by the current guest.

We were lucky to get a room and were allowed to check in early, which was a relief. If the room isn't ready, they can store your luggage in the lobby, which is handy. The room was spotless and fresh, with none of the old, dusty, or moldy smell you might worry about. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The staff were kind and attentive, and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We had a wonderful stay.
